Woven – Summer Study

Girls…. Did you LOVE Beth Moore’s message this weekend? I think it was such an appropriate way to end our week with the first century church and begin our week moving toward Revelation. If you missed out on that message, I strongly encourage you to stop right now an listen.

Well, we have reached the end! On one hand, I want to jump up and down and celebrate, because we have persevered. We have stuck it out, done the work, and learned a thing or two in the process.

On the other hand, I hate endings of all kinds. I especially hate endings with a dear friend. I don’t know about you, but I count Angie as a dear friend now that I’ve spent four chapters with her. So, maybe we don’t say, “goodbye.” Instead, maybe we’ll just see her later.

Read chapter 14 of Woven. It’s the shortest chapter we’ve read in the entire book. So, you have time to savor each word. Many of the books we have left to talk about were written by characters we’ve spent some time with already. I really love how Angie talks about them as trusted friends.

In your journal today, HAVE FUN! If something stuck out to you in this particular chapter that you want to remember, write about it. Maybe an idea spurred a prayer time, write it out so you remember it all someday. Or, maybe the final chapter caused you to return to a previous lesson to remember. Write about it.

This is your time, sister. Endings have a way of sending us into our feelings and emotions. God there today and enjoy. I’m looking forward to the next four days of study with you. They’ll be light and encouraging so don’t miss it. I’ll see you back here soon.

Dear God, thank you for Your Word and for teachers that feel the burden to instruct so that all may know. This time has been a treat and a treasure for me. Thank you for meeting us here each day. Thank you for teaching us. We welcome your guidance and continued instruction as we cross the finish line. We trust that You will see us all the way through. Amen.
