Songs for the Season—Day 9
Oh Holy Night - Matthew West
Matthew 1:23
Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
1 John 4:14
And we have seen and testify that Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
Lyrics
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining, Till He appear'd and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born; O night divine, O night, O night Divine.

Dear Lord, We praise You for that holy night so long ago! The fact that you, God, would come down to earth to suffer for our salvation is the beyond our comprehension. Thank You for loving us enough to enter this world, walk in our shoes, and die the death meant for us. We love You and we thank You Lord for our our blessed life. In Jesus' name and for the Father's glory. Amen.
