Remembering God's Provision

God sent the Holy Spirit to teach us how to live like Jesus.

“But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like me who sets you free, he will teach you all things in my name. And he will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you.” John 14:26 (TPT)

I’m thankful for all the ways God teaches me about Himself and shows me how to live. Also, without the gift of His Holy Spirit to live in me and direct my path, all the other forms of instruction would lack power.

Today, I want to leave you with a few more verses about God’s gift of Spirit. Spend some time in reflection. How has Holy Spirit been your teacher? Take some time to remember.

“Now, the Lord I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever he is Lord, there is freedom. We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another.” 2 Cor. 3:17-18 (TPT)

“And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.” Romans 8:26-27 (TPT)

Our Father, we have chosen to spend some time remembering You, Your care, Your instruction, and Your invitations. Where would we be without You? When we take time to pause and remember who You are to us, what You’ve done for us, and how You’re always inviting us into more, we can’t help but give thanks. Keep on caring, teaching, and inviting, because we don’t want to miss out on abundant life with You. Since You are always giving, we promise to remember. Amen.
