"Practically Divine" - Week 1

YAY! I think it’s been a great first week. Our chapter was easy to read. But, I’ve pushed a little with our discussion. This is YOUR study. You can do as much or as little as you want. In my personal experience, I’ve grown deeper in my faith walk by forcing myself deeper into my emotions. I am not your Director, though. Follow the leading of the Spirit in you.
Today, I’m providing a link to a podcast for you to listen to. This podcast came out shortly after “Practically Divine” was released. Ian Cron (an Episcopal priest and master of the Enneagram) is interviewing Becca Stevens, who is also an Episcopal priest. I listened to a couple of podcast episodes of Becca talking about the book. But, these two have a relationship, and they are fun to listen to.
I hope you’ll take some time today or tomorrow to listen. I think you’ll like hearing the heart and emotion of our author as she talks about the book, her life, and Jesus.
**Note for next week – You’ll hear in Becca’s story in the podcast that she has a history that includes sexual abuse. I want to be sensitive to anyone that shares this history with her. In chapter one, she describes a childhood even that could be triggering. I realize triggers are different for everyone, so there’s no way to know how difficult Becca’s story could be to everyone with abuse in their past. But, I wanted to make you aware.
Have a great weekend, Sisters! I’ll see you on Monday for chapter 2 of Practically Divine.
