Soul Sisters, I hope you're lighting a candle at the start of your quiet times with our Messiah. The darkness of this world has only provided the perfect backdrop for Christ's light to shine even brighter. What a JOY it has been to study Jesus, our Light, this week.
Isaiah 60:1-3
Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
John 1:4
In him was life, and that life was the light of men.
Light of the World (Sing Hallelujah) – We the Kingdom
Light of the world
From the beginning
The tragedies of time
Were no match for your love
From great heights of glory
You saw my story
God you entered in
And became one of us
Sing hallelujah
Sing hallelujah
Sing hallelujah
For the things he has done
Come and adore him
Bow down before him
Sing hallelujah
To the light of the world
Light of the world
Crown in a manger
Born for the cross
To suffer, to save
High king of heaven
Death is the poorer
We are the richer
By the price that he paid
Sing hallelujah!
Oh, Jesus, what else could we say except, "Hallelujah!" Thank you for coming here, into the darkness of the world. Thank you for shining brightly for all of our days. Help us look to you. Give us the strength to see You above everything. You're the Light of this world, and we want to focus on You during the Christmas season. We want to shine with Your Light ourselves so that many see You and come to know You.
