Isaiah 9:2-6

The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil…. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Heavenly Father,

Our Wonderful Counselor and Prince of Peace is more perfect than anyone could ever dream. The light that shines on the world from this miracle baby is indeed perfect. Thank for your word that reminds us… “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” We are so thankful for the perfect gift of our Savior. Let us be a reflection of Jesus this Christmas and in the new year so that his mighty light will shine in us and through us for all the world to see. Amen!
