Wednesday, December 15 Day 13

Psalm 148:1-2 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise him from the heights! Praise him, all his angels; Praise him, all his hosts!

Luke 2:13-14 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

Glory in the Highest - by Meredith Andrews Hear the quiet of the starry night Scattered shepherds watch the sky Suddenly the dark gives way to light The angel speaks of the Messiah

Be of good courage See the star hovering above Today a Savior is born to us

Glory, glory in the highest We sing glory to the His name Peace on Earth to all who come To worship Christ the King We sing, glory in the highest In the highest

See the God who spoke the earth to be Take a break as a baby Look beyond he child and see the King Come to rescue and redeem Glory, glory in the highest!

Dear Lord, Yes! You have "come to rescue and redeem"! We are so grateful for your entry into our world as a tiny baby, yet born King of kings. May our hearts declare with the heavenly hosts, "Glory to God in the highest!" Please help us to keep our minds centered on you in this busy season, which is all about celebrating YOU. The lights, the presents, the parties, and all the hustle and bustle would be pointless without the Good News that made his humble appearance on a holy night long ago. Write all these songs of praise as well as your word on our heart so that we sing and think about you all day long. You are our Peace on Earth. You are our Goodwill to men. You are our Joy to the world. You are our Music and our Messiah. Amen.
