Who is this Jesus?

Jesus is the Light of the World

The Lord bless you, and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you;

the Lord lift up his countenance on you, and give you peace. Number 6:24-26

Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold,

darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon and

his glory will appear upon you. Isaiah 60:1-2

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105

He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by him, and apart from him

nothing came into being that has come into being. In him was life, and the life was the light of

men. John 1:2-4

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have

the light of life.” John 8:12

My Child,

I am the Light of the World. There is no darkness in me at all. Let my word bring light to your

path (Psalm 119:105). I know what your day will bring so choose to stay by my side and obey my

words. Will you allow me to “light your lamp and illumine your darkness”? (Psalm 18:28).

Heavenly Father,

We thank you today for lighting the path which otherwise would be dark and hopeless. Help us to recognize this! So many times we want to follow our own path yet we know yours will be best every time. Lord, we are lost sheep that need you every day in every way. When we begin to stray help us remember it is always better to stay right by your side and obey . Amen
