Revelation 5: 11-14
Then I looked and heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in the, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshipped.
Adoration:
Wow, God. What a lesson in learning to adore. YOU ARE WORTHY! You are worthy of all blessing and honor and praise!
Confession:
As I read these verses in Revelation, I am realizing that I bless and honor and praise many unworthy things. I am sorry!
Thanksgiving;
I'm most thankful right now for forgiveness, for forgiveness when I give away praise and honor to temporary, worldly, and cheap versions of god. Thank you for access to Your Presence because of the blood of the Lamb.
Supplication:
Make me more aware of Your worthiness, God. Call to mind on a regular basis the reasons why my focus needs to be on YOU. Honestly, I believe that if I could remain focused on the glory of who You are, all of the confusing details of life would fall into place.
Use these verses and ACTS to write your own personal prayer in your journal.
Ladies, I'm speechless today. I need to spend some time in my prayer closet today giving honor and glory to the One who is worthy. When you feel overwhelmed by the goodness of God, what is your "go-to" way to praise? (song, dance, nature walk, time with friends, journal, etc.) Please share with us how you most naturally praise the Lord when you're overwhelmed by who He is?
God, You are most definitely worthy of our praise! We have a weekend ahead of us, and we are entering into a season of Lent. This is a wonderful time for you to overwhelm us with Your presence and Your power. I pray that You'd initiate reminders of who you are in the hearts of all of us. I pray that You'd prepare us to enter into Easter season ready to worship the Lamb that was slain for us. Amen.
