ACTS: A Way to Pray

Daniel 2: 20-24

Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and set up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king’s matter.”

Adoration:

Heavenly Father, I praise You with my whole heart! May Your Name be praised for eternity! You alone control situations; You know what dangers are hidden that I cannot see and You protect me and rescue me. You are, indeed, the King of kings and Lord of lords! I adore You!

Confession:

Forgive me, Lord, for the times I charge ahead in my own understanding, failing to seek You first when I desperately need to know “what’s next” in my future. Please flood me with Your Spirit so that I am aligned with Your will. Order my steps every day so that I can fulfill Your calling on my life.

Thanksgiving:

Thank you that, just as You did for Daniel, You reveal truths to me that are beyond my knowledge and equip me to be part of Your incredible plan of salvation. Thank you, God, for giving me wisdom and knowledge that enable me to be brave before those who are against me and bold in my attempts to bring others to You.

Supplication:

Father, You are my God. I need Your wisdom and knowledge. Too often I listen to other voices instead of Yours. Let the loudest voice in my head be Yours, so that I don’t act based on my own understanding, but live in full obedience to You in every situation I face. In Jesus’ name and for the Father’s glory, Amen.

Use these verses and ACTS to write your own personal prayer in your journal.

Sisters will you share what you are praising God for today? Let’s collectively lift His name on high for all that He has done!
