ACTS - A Way to Pray

Psalm 96:1-4

Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless his name; proclaim good tidings of his salvation day to day. Tell of his glory among the nations, his wonderful deeds among the peoples. For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods.

A Prayer using the above Scripture and ACTS

Adoration:

Almighty Father, You are so worthy to be praised. You are greater, mightier, and infinitely more powerful than any other god. No one and no thing compares to You. It is a joy to speak of Your great deeds to others.

Confession:

Since I know that You are all-powerful, why do I keep lifting other things above You? Why do I allow my fears, worries, and anxieties to take first place in my thoughts throughout the day? I am sorry, God. I confess my need for You to forgive my sin of unbelief and turn my heart to You in every situation.

Thanksgiving:

Thank you, God, for never tiring of my weaknesses. Thank you for giving me a new song every time I ask for it. When I sit in your presence, confessing my need, You are always faithful to remind me of who You are. Today, You've shown up AGAIN in a powerful way giving me a song of praise, and I am thankful!

Supplication:

Give me courage, God, to share this new song of praise with my world. Cause my mouth to open and share of Your good deeds and glory with others. Go before me and prepare the hearts of those who will hear. The messages I share about You will be foolishness to the lost unless You open their hearts to hear and receive. So, do it, Lord, for the sake of Your great name.
