Made For This -- "Threads of Passions"

I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:25-27

This was fun reading for me. Isn't it exciting to think that God has caused our sufferings, our places, our people, and even our gifting to fuel passions within us that will give us purpose? Isn't it amazing that these purposes can be used for redemption and the saving of many lives?

What causes your heart to beat fast? I've had trouble narrowing it down. My heart beats a little faster when I get to;

Share Jesus through the written Word,

Offer hope to a friend who seems to have lost it,

Encourage my children in a way that seems to matter,

Improve a situation.... make it (a space, a person, an event) a little better than I found it,

Teach an adult how to see and treasure a little one (even if that "little" one is taller than you and me) for the fearful and wonderful gift he/she was created to be,

Work with another believer to FIGHT the enemy. I'm passionate about being an active part in reminding Satan of his defeat.

Do you know that I can look at the pieces of my life and see an event that possibly fueled each of these passions. Isn't God amazing!? He stands guard over our lives and orchestrate circumstances that will light a fire in us to share the Gospel of Christ. Ladies, we GET TO participate in sharing the Gospel of Christ.

How will you do it? How will I do it? Spend some time filling in the visual on pages 188 and 189. Answer the questions carefully. I believe this is an important day.

I hope that doesn't seem to morbid. I think it's a great question. What would we change if we knew our time was coming to a close? That's how we should live each and every day. How can we share more Jesus wherever we go?

Jesus, You are so worth being the driving desire of our lives. If we aren't there yet, please begin to peel away the distractions. The Word says that You will remove our hearts of stone and replace them with softer hearts of flesh. So, do it today. We are crying out and asking You not to leave us to ourselves, our ways, and our passions. Use the details of our story to fill us with heavenly passion, so we can share the hope with the world. We want to participate in restoration, redemption, Your work of saving many lives. Amen!
